Welcome to our new September '21 EYFS Families

We are delighted that Bracknell Forest Council has now finalised acceptances across the borough and confirmed to us our new EYFS children for September 2021. We are in the process of contacting our new families with the next steps - please keep an eye on your email (and junk folder!). Please also see the dedicated webpage for new EYFS Parents HERE.

Drop-off/collection times from Monday 29th March 2021

We have adapted our pre-Covid drop-off/collection times as follows - this is to account for social distancing and discourage families from lingering on site.

  • 08:55 gates open for parent's to drop children off at the school entrances
  • 09:10 children to be on site so they can settle in class
  • 09:15 registration
  • 09:15 gates close

Pick-up (previously gates open 15:20-15:45):

  • 15:15 gates open for parents to go to the playgrounds to collect children from their classrooms
  • 15:30 end of the school day; any children not yet collected will be accompanied to the front of the school to wait for collection

Please follow the one-way system at all times - NB:

  • If at all possible, please WALK to/from school or park with care and respect our neighbours
  • No mobile phones
  • Only one parent/carer per family group
  • Keep your household close and 2m from other households - no gathering, lingering or mixing of households
  • Adults to wear a face covering over both nose and mouth (unless medically exempt)
  • Please avoid bringing dogs, bikes and scooters to school; the paths will be busy so please consider others.

ASYMPTOMATIC testing for households

For households (including childcare/support bubbles) with primary, secondary or college-age children:

As schools return from 8th March 2021, asymptomatic adults and children of secondary school age and above are able to test themselves at home using Lateral Flow Tests (LFTs) twice every week:

  • See the Department of Health and Social Care's announcement HERE
  • For information on how to get a test pack, click HERE
  • This service is for people WITHOUT symptoms
    • f you have symptoms you must apply for a test HERE and you and your household must self-isolate while you wait for the result
  • Please do not use LFT on children of primary-age or younger.

IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE - click HERE for details on alternative testing.

Testing of SYMPTOMATIC individuals

Anyone showing symptoms, including primary aged children, must take a PCR test and self-isolate with their household while waiting for the result. Children must have a negative PCR result before attending the school site.

Please note that Lateral Flow Tests (LFTs) are not an acceptable test for anyone showing symptoms, as LFTs are intended to be used in asymptomatic cases.

Click HERE to apply for a PCR test online.

Please see Bracknell Forest Council's latest information HERE and flowcharts HERE for an explanation of which test to use.

Test and Trace

The school continues to be responsible for Test and Trace on behalf of the NHS/PHE, so please do contact us if you are testing or you are concerned a member of the household has symptoms.  Email all attendance and medical issues confidentially to secretary@whitegroveprimary.co.uk

Report all positive cases to secretary@whitegroveprimary.co.uk ASAP.  We check this email throughout the day, evening, weekends and start of school holidays as part of our Test and Trace requirement.
